Edmonton Oilers Crucial Errors Once Again Cost Them The Game

I am getting sick and tired of typing this out when it comes to this Oilers team, but once again here I am doing it anyway. The Oilers need to stop giving away games with their massive mistakes. Of the 4 goals, 3 of them you could break down and come down on an Edmonton Oilers mistake. It is a problem that has plagued this team and today it cost them the game.

The Oilers now have an extremely tough road to lift the cup. They will need to win 4 straight games against what could be the best team in the league. As much as you need to have some faith and you haven't technically lost till you lose, this does not look good for the Oilers. The way the Oilers have played in this series, they deserve to get swept.

As I mentioned above the Oilers shot themselves in the foot in this game. They need to tidy these mistakes up and honestly, if they still want a chance to win this series they will need not to make any mistakes. This series was going to be a tight series going into it, but with the Oilers playing as poorly as they are the 3-0 is completely understandable.

Oilers Strength Has Become Their Weakness

Coming into this series the area the Edmonton Oilers' biggest strength has been their powerplay. In this series, they have yet to score a single goal. If the Oilers had scored at least one goal on the powerplay in either game one or game two this would have been a completely different series. If the Oilers have any chance to come back in this series it will all start with the Oilers powerplay.

Game 4 will take place on Saturday. The Stanley Cup will be in the building as a Florida Panthers win will clinch the cup. Hopefully, the Oilers can at least win one game. If there is a game they do win it could be game 4, The Panthers will not be 100% because they might be thinking about hoisting the cup, so there is still hope as slight as it may be.
