Every sports fan wishes they could quit their 9-5 and do what they really love. Especially, a hardcore Oilers fan. It took 15 years of climbing the ladder to upper management to realize I wasn't doing what I was passionate for. Yes, I'm a walking cliche. But I think I've earned it. I did ride the elevator to the executive floor, dragged my heels into my bosses office, and explained to the very expensive suit that I was quitting a six figure job with no plan to replace the income. I think I just threw up in my mouth.I'm not a writer. I'm not an ex-pro athlete. I'm an Edmonton born kid that has found it a priority to keep the Oilers in my life, wherever in the world I happened to be. I learned to skate on an outdoor rink, sometimes by the Alberta moonlight, across the street from my house. Hockey took my front teeth, my mind off troubles, and brought me here to start the next great journey.
