Last night’s game between the Edmonton Oilers and the Nashville Predators was a thrilling one, with the Oilers coming out on top with a 6-1 victory. But what really stood out was the performance of Jack Campbell, who bounced back from a tough start to the season to put in a stellar performance between the pipes.

Campbell, who had struggled in his previous outings this season, was a rock for the Oilers last night. He faced a barrage of shots from the Predators, but he stood tall and made save after save, finishing the game with a save percentage of 0.977% on 43 shots.

For Jack Campbell, this was a much-needed confidence boost. He had come into the season with high expectations after signing a big contract with the Oilers in the last offseason, but his last season struggles had left some fans wondering if he was the right man for the job.

Last night’s performance should have started to put those doubts to rest. Jack Campbell showed that he has the talent and the mental toughness to be a top goaltender in the NHL. He made some incredible saves, including that scorpion-style save.

But perhaps even more impressive than his saves was Campbell’s demeanour throughout the game. He remained calm and focused even when the Predators were pouring on the pressure, and he never let his emotions get the better of him.

For the Edmonton Oilers, Campbell’s performance was a much-needed boost. The team has struggled to find consistency between the pipes in the early going of the season, and they will need their goaltenders to be at their best if they hope to make a run deep into the playoffs.

But last night was a reminder that when Campbell is on his game, he can be one of the best goaltenders in the league. And for Oilers fans, that’s great news.
