Only four teams in NHL history have managed to overcome a three to zero deficit in their series to come back in win. The Edmonton Oilers might be in a tough spot, but coming back from this has been done before.

The Oilers need Connor McDavid to score some goals. Yes, he has still been one of the team’s best players, but if they are going to complete the comeback they need McDavid to be on his game. The same way this series turned ugly quickly for the Oilers, it can turn around.

Four teams in the history of the NHL have come back from a 3-0 deficit, here is the list the Edmonton Oilers will look to join.

1942 – Maple Leafs over Red Wings

1975 – Islanders over Penguins

2010 – Flyers over Bruins

2014 – Kings over Sharks

Yeah, that group definitely is pretty short for a league that has been around for a long time. The Oilers have their work cut out for them. Coming back from this definitely won’t be easy.

The Oilers are a relatively young team with very little Stanley Cup experience in the room. This challenge at hand might seem daunting, but if they take things one game at a time it won’t be that bad.

All the Oilers have to do is win four straight games. That is something they have done before throughout the course of the regular season. The Oilers also have to make sure they don’t take too many risky plays throughout the game. The penalty last night by Josh Archibald was just stupid and could cost the team the entire series. If the Oilers are lucky enough to be in a close game tonight, they cannot let that kind of event occur again.

Anything can happen tonight in game four. All it takes is a few quick goals from either team to totally change the direction of the series. If Edmonton can show up and catch Winnipeg sitting back now that they are up in this series by three games, then they can turn this thing around. What do you think will be the outcome tonight?
