Other key departures
Connor Brown - signed with New Jersey for four years, $12 million. Too rich for the Oilers blood.
Corey Perry - signed with the LA Kings, 1 year $3.5 million AAV which includes signing and performance bonuses. Oh, Ken Holland. What is wrong with you now?
Jeff Skinner - signed with San Jose to the same contract he had here, one year $3,000,000. Will likely be a good trade chip for them at the trade deadline and in the meantime will help take some of the scoring burden off of their big three forwards in Macklin Celebrini, Will Smith, and William Eklund.
Skyler Brind'amour - Former sixth round pick of the Oilers, signed in Carolina. Terms unknown at the time of this writing.
Phil Kemp - Former seventh round pick of the Oilers, deemed too slow for the Oilers and thus has signed in Pittsburgh which has less depth, two years $1.55 million, $775,000 AAV.
Ben Gleason - Acquired in trade as depth for the Condors, he signed with one year in Minnesota for $800K
John Klingberg - Joining Jeff Skinner in San Jose where he will no doubt get more playing time than he did here. One year, $4,000,000.
Ronnie Attard - Another farmhand acquired in trade, he signed with Colorado, one year $775k.
Ryan Fanti - An ECHL bubble player of a goalie, signed with Tampa Bay for one year $775k.
Lane Pederson - The last two seasons running was considered a prime candidate for fourth line center but ended up spending all his time on the Condors. Signed in Philly for one year $775k.
Roby Jarventie - Originally acquired in trade, Jarventie is healthier going into this season and thus will be counted on for a bigger role with Bakersfield. Perhaps a dark horse callup candidate. Re-signed for one year, $775k.
Olivier Rodrigue - A one time second round pick of the Oilers, Rodrigue never really impressed too much and remains a free agent at the time of this writing. He was an RFA but wasn't issued a QO by the Oilers and thus became a UFA. He got a callup and got into two games this past season when Skinner was injured but didn't really impress.
Collin Delia - The NHL veteran last season, Delia remains a free agent at the time of this writing. Completes the trifecta of Condor goalies who won't be back next season.
