After a series where the Edmonton Oilers were the better team throughout the Oilers following a 4-3 win last night eliminated the Los Angeles Kings in just 5 games. The Oilers now need to wait and see who will come out of the Vancouver Canucks/ Nashville Predators series to see who and when they will play next.

Final. 3. 67. WIN. 4. 148

Right now in that series, the Canucks are up 3-2, but the Predators have been the better team through most of the series. That series doesn't play their next game home-ice till Friday in Nashville. It has been a good series, but in my opinion, the Oilers will be able to beat each of these teams, I would rather face the Predators as the Oilers have had their number lately and they would have home ice advantage against them.

It's the other series in the West that has my attention now that the Oilers have moved on. The Dallas Stars/Vegas Golden Knights series was the only series that was tied 2-2 in the first round. Vegas won the first two on the road then Dallas turned around and won both games in Vegas. The Stars got the series' first win at home as they beat the Golden Knights 3-2 last night. That series will shift back to Vegas where the Knights will need a win or they will be shipped home.

As we don't exactly know when the next round will start for the Edmonton Oilers, but the earliest I think it would start is on Sunday, but that would be if both the Stars and Canucks won both their games. Even then I would think they would bump the game ones to Monday, to give either of those teams a bit of a break between series.

For all the Oilers fans having the Oilers finish off the LA Kings gives all the players a chance to relax and heal up before the next round, but it also gives the fans a chance to relax as well. I know for me at least I get stressed for every Oilers playoff game, so it will be nice to have a bit of a break from that. I say that today though, tomorrow I will be back itching to watch some Oilers hockey.
