The Edmonton Oilers look to shake off a game one loss and steal a game on the road in this series tonight. Although the saying goes "You haven't lost the series till you lose a game at home" the Edmonton Oilers and their fans would feel much better to have the series tied at one than head back to Edmonton down two games to this stingy Florida Panthers team.

Game one was a well-played game by the Oilers, the problem being that this is the Stanley Cup Finals, and you can't expect to win if you make big mistakes, the Oilers made 2 of them and the Panthers capitalized on them both by beating Stuart Skinner. The Oilers themselves did create a lot of chances but were unable to beat Sergei Bobrovsky.

The elite goaltending of Bobrovsky is something the Oilers have yet to face this playoff run. The only potential chance they had to face an elite goalie was against the Vancouver Canucks but Demko was injured. While Dallas Stars, Jake Oettinger, has the ability to be elite he did not play at his elite level against the Oilers.

The thing that I am worried about the Oilers is that Bobrovsky has the ability to get into the heads of the Oilers. If the Oilers start overthinking the fact they can't beat the Panthers goalie, then that will only lead to more issues for them. Last game the Oilers had quite a bit of quality chances, but I don't think the players put the puck where they wanted to on their chances.

For the Oilers to draw even in the series tonight they will have to play a very similar game to game one. The area they need to improve on is in their own end. They need to play discipline and safe in their own end. That is something that can be adjusted, they were not out skilled by the Panthers, but the Oilers need to play smart and they have the ability to hoist the Cup at the end of this.
