The Edmonton Oilers have continued to be one of the hottest teams in the NHL pushing their current winning streak to 9 games. The Florida Panthers are also on a 9-game streak while the Winnipeg Jets and Seattle Kraken are on 8-game winning streaks.
Tonight the Edmonton Oilers look to set a franchise record 10th straight win as they face the Montreal Canadiens in Montreal. The Canadiens aren't having the best season as they sit 6th in the Atlantic Division with a 17-18-6 record and are only 3-5-2 in their last 10 games.
The Edmonton Oilers on the other hand are 9-1 in their last 10. The Oilers seem unbeatable at this point and to be honest I don't see the Canadiens being a team that could stop them on their run. The way the Oilers are playing right now I don't think many teams can beat them.

If it's not broke don't fix it, is all I can say about the Edmonton Oilers lines for the game tonight. When you are winners of 9 straight you don't go looking to make changes. The only potential change per Tony Brar is McLeod is out, but we will see if that translates to puck drop or not.

No offence to the Canadiens, but this roster is much weaker than the Edmonton Oilers. Taking a look at their defencemen, without looking them up I really knew who 3 of them were. This could be the type of game the Edmonton Oilers take over early and don't look back.
The last few Oilers games have been close in score, but the Oilers controlled the gameplay. This could be a game where the dam finally breaks and the Oilers run up the score. In a perfect world, you see a few players get off their bad luck streaks.
Players who I would love to see score a goal tonight
Evander Kane
Kane has slowed down a bit and I would love to see him heat up again and slide back into the top 6.
Connor Brown
He needs to start putting the puck in the net for obvious reasons. Playing hard just doesn't cut it anymore.
Warren Foegele
Foegele is just coming off a hot streak which earned him and McLeod a bump to get Draisaitl as their center, but both players have slowed down a bit. A Foegele goal could restart that flame
From an Oilers fan's point of view, this should be an exciting game. The fact that this team of all the Oilers teams could be the one to get to 10 in a row is amazing. Hopefully, the Oilers can play their game and walk out with a new winning streak record and the equally as important 2 points.
