The Edmonton Oilers have extended their winning streak to 3 games after beating the Seattle Kraken tonight in overtime. The team was down 2 going into the 3rd period. Then the Evander Kane show started.

Going into tonight I thought that if the Edmonton Oilers were going to win it was going to be a tight game and I was right. The Oilers looked a lot like last year’s Oilers. They start with the lead, give the lead up then end up coming from behind and winning.

It was nice to see the fight in this team tonight. If this was game played earlier in the season I think this team would fold and just go through the motions. Tonight they proved that there may have been a change in mindset.

Edmonton Oilers Win “Naturally” Against The Kraken

For the second time in as many games, the Oilers get a natural hat trick to help beat the Seattle Kraken. Last game Hyman scored three straight goals in the first period. Tonight Evander Kane was the one with the natty hatty.

I liked the Hyman one more because it put the team in a better position in the game, but you can’t complain about the excitement that surrounded the Kane hat trick tonight.

At The End Of The Day, 2 Points Is 2 Points

Right now when it comes to the Edmonton Oilers all that matters is points in the standings. With the terrible start to the season, the Oilers need to start making up ground. The last three games are nice, but they will need to keep this going.

With the 2 points tonight, the Edmonton Oilers are now only 6 points out of the second wildcard spot. With 67 games left in the regular season that should be a very capable gap to close and for the Oilers to catch.

The Edmonton Oilers now head out on a 4 game road trip. They are playing a couple of tough teams on this trip. If they can win 3 of the 4 games I would consider that a win. The road trip starts on Saturday against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
