The Edmonton Oilers look to turn their one-game win into a winning streak tonight as they face the Philadelphia Flyers. This game is a very winnable game for the Oilers. Nothing is guaranteed in the NHL, so the Edmonton Oilers need to play smart.

The Edmonton Oilers need to play well in every aspect of the game to win, but in my opinion, there are more areas that are more important to the win tonight. Here are my top three keys to an Edmonton Oilers victory.

Jack Campbell Stays HotđŸ”„đŸ”„

The last game was arguably Jack Campbell‘s best game as an Edmonton Oilers player. He had a tough run last season, but so far this year he has played very well. He played well in the preseason and last game.

The only blip in the radar was the first game where he had only a 0.750SV% that game. Even having that bad start he has a 0.917SV%. He played amazingly on Tuesday when he stopped 43 of 44 shots.

It looks like Campbell will be getting the start tonight. If he plays the same he has so far this season the Edmonton Oilers should be able to pull out his win.

Kane Needs To Get Going

It’s not that Evander Kane has been bad early this season, but I think he just needs to score a goal tonight. Before Kane arrived in Edmonton there was a lot of hoping a winger would be able to score.

As soon as Kane showed up the Edmonton Oilers finally had a bonafide goal scorer to play with McDavid or Draisaitl. Now that he is in that role he is expected to score goals. The season is already 3 games in with one more today and I would have expected him to have a goal already.

I understand it takes a while for some players to get rolling, but Kane was brought in to score goals and in the past, he has for this team. If he once again doesn’t score tonight it may be time to try someone else on the top line.

If Jesse PuljujĂ€rvi was playing with Draisaitl and McDavid on the first line and he played two games with them people would be screaming for a change. The same should be done if Kane doesn’t score.

Edmonton Oilers “Superbad” Line Staying Hot

People have tagged the Foegele, Hyman, Nugent-Hopkins the “Superbad” line, because well Foegele. Personally, I love it. Last game they were the best line by far. If they can keep that rolling it will make the Edmonton Oilers a really tough team to beat.

If they can keep McDavid and Draisaitl on the same line and not have to worry about a big drop in play in the lower lines that is a nice bullet to have in the chamber. If the team is struggling or trailing in a game to have that ability and not affect the rest of the lineup is nice.

With them going with Draisaitl and McDavid on the same line again tonight hopefully, the Superbad line can keep rolling a help this team get another onesided win tonight.
