Early this morning the Edmonton Oilers announced the jerseys they are going to be wearing for the Heritage Classic against the Calgary Flames on October 29th.

The jersey will be paired with leather-coloured pants and gloves. The player number is located on the back of the jersey as well as the front. It is inspired by the Edmonton Mercurys team that won gold in the 1952 Olympics. The main colors feature the current OIlers orange and blue with white to add a vintage look.

The Calgary Flames also released their Heritage Classic jersey today. The Calgary Flames jersey is not as big of a change from their normal everyday jersey as the Edmonton Oilers one is. It looks nice, but in my opinion, the Oilers jersey is much more of a Heritage Classic

The Heritage Classic is just over a month away so it is about time these jerseys got released. If you have an extra $310 lying around you can go and buy one that has player info on it. If you want to go a cheaper route you could get a blank one for $230. Best get on them quick cause I think that these are going to go fast.

So far there are lots of different reviews on the new jerseys. The thing is with most stuff on the internet there is almost no middle ground. Either people love them or they hate them. I am a fan of this jersey and equipment combo.

I love the numbers on the front the most, but couple that with the brown leather accessories and this jersey is straight fire. πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯

Now I know that most of you will not agree with what I like, but that is okay. Feel free to tweet @OilOnWhyte with what changes you would make and I will do my best to retweet them.
