The Edmonton Oilers are in need of improving this team once again in the offseason. After taking a look at the team’s current roster and available options, I strongly believe that Alex Killorn would be an excellent addition to the Oilers.

Killorn is a versatile forward who can play both the center and wing positions, and his offensive capabilities would be a significant boost to Edmonton’s struggling right wing which I believe needs an upgrade over Kailer Yamamoto. He had a career-high 27 goals and 64 points last season. His ability to score goals and create opportunities for his teammates would be a valuable asset to the Oilers top 6.

Also, Killorn’s playoff experience and leadership qualities would be invaluable to this Edmonton Oilers team in its Cup window. He was an alternate captain for the Tampa Bay Lightning, a team that has been consistently successful over the past few years. His experience in high-pressure situations and playoff hockey would be an asset to the Oilers, who have been underwhelming in the postseason in recent years.

Another factor that makes Killorn a good fit for the Oilers is his defensive abilities. He is a responsible player who can be trusted in the defensive zone and can contribute on the penalty kill. The Oilers have been struggling on the defensive end, and Killorn’s presence would help shore up their defense.

Finally, Killorn’s contract should be reasonable, which makes him a viable option for the Oilers. He is coming off a contract with a cap hit of $4.45 million per year. This is a reasonable price for a player of his caliber, and the Oilers would not have to break the bank to acquire him.

Alex Killorn would be an excellent addition to the Edmonton Oilers. His offensive abilities, leadership qualities, defensive skills, and reasonable contract make him a perfect fit for a team that is struggling to find its footing. The Oilers should seriously consider making a move for Killorn, as he could be the missing piece to their puzzle and could help them make a deep playoff run.
