For those of you who didn’t catch Jim Matheson’s latest in the Journal, it’s right here.
It gave some good numbers about Darnell Nurse:
Darnell Nurse played five more minutes (26:23) than any other Oiler and was plus 3. He’s only been on for one even-strength goal against in 52 ½ minutes over two games…
If you still think Darnell Nurse should be traded after reading this, then I only have two things to say to you:
- You are clearly an idiot
- I am very happy you are not the GM right now, due to point one.
The Oilers have re-signed Dineen. I’m a little surprised it’s only one year, considering they just traded their best defensive prospect previously still playing in Bakersfield to get him (Michael Kesselring), but the fact that it’s a two-way contract and the amount doesn’t surprise me at all.
Not sure what they’re thinking with such a short contract. Maybe they want to see how he does in a full season in Bakersfield – 12 points in 19 games is nothing to sneeze at, in fact.
We’ll see how he does next season, I guess.
