The Edmonton Oilers look to start another winning streak tonight against the St. Louis Blues after beating the Nashville Predators on Monday.
The Edmonton Oilers host the St. Louis Blues tonight down at Rogers Place. The Edmonton Oilers so far this season have a better record than the St. Louis Blues, but the way the Blues have played the Oilers so far this season who knows what could happen.
The first meeting between these teams this year on October 22 the Edmonton Oilers were shutout in a 2-0 loss. The next time the teams played 4 days after that the Oilers walked away with a 3-1 win.
I have a feeling we are going to see a game closer to the second game tonight. The way the Edmonton Oilers have been rolling as of late it is hard to see it being a boring games. The Oilers are coming off a 6-3 win against the Nashville Predators.
In that game the Edmonton Oilers gave up an early goal, but that didn’t stop them. They poured it on and the top line pulled this team to a victory. Including Hyman getting his first NHL hat trick.
I believe the Oilers will keep this momentum going tonight. The Blues are a more solid defensive team in the past than the Predators though, so don’t expect to see the Edmonton Oilers score 6 goals. I can see the Edmonton Oilers winning this game by a score of 3-1 or 4-2. Nothing to big, but a solid performance from the whole team.
