Patrick Kane

Patrick Kane is a good option to replace Evander Kane and not just because they have the same last name. Patrick Kane is a highly skilled player that can play it other highly skilled players.

This is what the Edmonton Oilers need to be looking at when it comes to potentially replacing a top 6 forward. You can just get anyone, you need a player that can bring a high level of skill on a night to night basis. Patrick Kane is that type of player.

Not to mention he has a winning pedigree coming from the once great Chicago Blackhawks. This is another thing this Edmonton Oilers can have enough of. This team now has Stanley Cup aspirations, so the more skilled playoff veterans they can add the better.

So far through 13 games Patrick has 10 points. That is a good amount of points for a player on a rebuilding Chicago team. A team hat traded away a lot of their skilled players in the offseason.

There is no doubt to me that Kane is going to be traded before the end of this season. He is a UFA after this season. He is a good trade chip. A chip that lots of teams are looking to acquire. Maybe if the Edmonton Oilers come in early they stand a chance to get him now. The Evander Kane injure would be the perfect time to bring in Patrick Kane.
