The Edmonton Oilers look to extend their winning streak tonight as they roll into Calgary to take on the Calgary Flames tonight. In their previous meeting this year the Flames won 4-3. The Oilers hope for a different outcome tonight.

In the last meeting the Edmonton Oilers fell behind after the first period 4-1. Even though they cam close they just couldn’t overcome the 3 goal deficit. Since the first couple games the Edmonton Oilers have had much better starts and that will be important again tonight.

The Calgary Flames are tight defensive team so if the Edmonton Oilers can get an early lead the Flames will start to take some chances in order to get the first goal. If they Oilers are leading they can player their game and knock the Flames off of theirs.

The most important thing in this game versus the last game on Thursday is the Edmonton Oilers need to be more discipline. They can’t expect to win a game on a regular basis when giving the other team 10 powerplays.

The problem with taking that many penalties is it disrupts the flow of the lines. Connor McDavid isn’t one of the main penalty killers, so when the team is short handed you are taking your best player off the ice.
