Coming off a solid win against the Carolina Hurricanes, the Edmonton Oilers look to keep their momentum going this afternoon against the St. Louis Blues.

This season so far for the Edmonton Oilers has been a bit of a rollercoaster. Not even just from a game to game basis, but within the game as well. The first game they were down 3-0 to Vancouver and were able to crawl their way back and win.

The next game against Calgary they also got behind early. They then picked up their play and weren’t able to get all the goals back so they lost by one goal. The Oilers were to dominate team in the last period, but they just couldn’t get the tying goal.

When Buffalo came to town the Edmonton Oilers played a much better 60 minutes, but they had a few bad plays that lead to goals against. They played a better game than the Sabres, but Eric Comrie played an amazing game and kept the puck out the Buffalo net even though the Oilers put a ton a shots his way.

Then last game against the Hurricanes the Oilers played their best game of the season. The Hurricanes, just like St. Louis today, were undefeated coming into Rogers Place and the Oilers handed them their first loss.

Hopefully the Oilers can do the same tonight against the St. Louis Blues. The Blues so far this season have yet to lose a game. The difference is they have only played two games so far this season and they have been against weak opponents.

No offence to the Seattle Kraken and the Columbus Blue Jackets, but they aren’t nearly as good as the Edmonton Oilers. Not to mention an Oilers team coming off a win against the Carolina Hurricanes.

Edmonton Oilers Should Win This Games

I don’t see the Edmonton Oilers losing this game. The only way they lose this game is if they come out like they did early in the season and fall behind by multiple goals early on. If the last couple games are any indication of their play they are only getting better.

The Edmonton Oilers are favored to win by the odd makers tonight as they should be. I can see the Edmonton Oilers blowing up tonight. They haven’t really had a game where they blowout their opponent yet and I think today that will happen.

The way the lineup has been playing I think there is a lot of depth players that are going to have an impact on this afternoon’s game. The top two lines will get their points as well, but I would watch for the bottom two lines to have a big impact on the game tonight. I think the Edmonton Oilers bottom six is superior to the Blues bottom six and that will show today.
