The Edmonton Oilers will look to snap a two-game slide as they take on the Carolina Hurricanes tonight in game 4 of their six-game home stand to kick off the season. The Canes come into this game having won each of their first three contests, so it will be another tough test early on for this Oiler team.

The Oilers and Hurricanes were both popular preseason picks to win the Stanley Cup, and so far the Hurricanes have proven why. After the first three games, Carolina has allowed just three goals while scoring eleven. Playing more sound team defence will be necessary tonight against these Eastern Conference juggernauts.
