The Edmonton Oilers look to keep things in the winning column tonight as they face the rival Calgary Flames. Both of these team have won both of their opening games. The Edmonton Oilers beat the Vancouver Canucks and the Calgary Flames beat a tired Colorado Avalanche team that played the night before.

Edmonton Oilers -1.5. 8 PM MST. 1-0. 112. Saturday, October 15. 1-0. CBC. 148

This game is going to be a good litmus test for both teams. On Wednesday once the Edmonton Oilers woke up they controlled the game. The Flames easily handled a tried Colorado Avalanche team. Tonight hopefully the Edmonton Oilers can play a full 60 minutes and if they do that they will be a better team than a tired Avalanche team.

Pacific Division Final Preview

This game tonight is going to be a battle of the top two teams in the Pacific Division. Both of these teams made it to there last season when the Edmonton Oilers won in 5 games. This season I expect the matchup to be the same.

This is the first time the Edmonton Oilers will be seeing the new roster of the Flames. With the loss of Tkachuk and Gaudreau being replace by Jonathan Huberdeau. This Flames team has a different look to it. Their defence is now among the best in the league, but there forward group got slightly worse.

In this game something to watch will be the goaltending. Jacob Markstrom is one of the best goalies in the league, but for some reason he struggles against the Edmonton Oilers. If Markstrom plays good I think the Oilers will be in tough tonight.
