Evander Kane

For me there is no doubt that Evander Kane will end up on Connor McDaivd’s wing. The way he preformed on this team after he was signed last season.

After putting up 39 points in 43 games playing with McDavid last season there is no reason to see him doing any worse than that. The chemistry they showed in the postseason was something I look forward to seeing moving forward next season.

The ability for Kane to score coupled with his ability to play with toughness and grit is a perfect combo to play with McDavid. This was the most noticeable in the Calgary Flames series last playoffs. Once Kane was put on a line with McDavid that line was unstoppable.

Not only did that kind produce lots of points, but it kept the other team from scoring. In game one of that series the Tkhcuck, Guadrow, and Lindholm line took it to the Edmonton Oilers. The rest of the series Woodcroft put Kane out against that line and they disappeared.

For Kane as much as he scores plenty of goals the main reason for me to put him on McDavid’s line is to create room and space for the NHL’s top player. When McDavid has more room he will have the ability. Plus if he is playing with McDavid I have no doubt getting 40 goals is possible for Kane.
