I’m not familiar enough with the NHL rulebook to agree or disagree with what the refs ruled on this.

The only thing I’m going to say is this – Coleman got exactly what he deserved because earlier in the game he crosschecked Mike Smith twice and no penalty at all was called. You have to go about 10 clips down the list to see it, but it’s clear as day there.

To quote Sheldon Cooper from The Big Bang Theory – “Payback truly is the b word.”

Coleman protested vociferously to the refs, but it was to no avail. In the end it was the Oilers who had the last laugh.
