The Edmonton Oilers look bump their current win streak to 5 games as they take on the San Jose Sharks. Currently the Edmonton Oilers are sitting one point behind the LA Kings for 2nd in the Pacific. The Oilers have two games in hand also. So if the Oilers win tonight they will sole possession of 2nd place. The good news is that they should be able to beat the San Jose Sharks.
The are currently on a 3 game losing streak, and they don’t really have much left to play for the rest of the season. They are virtually eliminated from the playoffs, so they can only hope to play spoiler from this point on.
As for the Edmonton Oilers they are looking to lock up home ice advantage throughout the playoffs. The way the Oilers are playing right now at home that would be a huge positive moving forward.
Tonight’s game for the Edmonton Oilers is all about proving that they are a superior team to the Sharks. The Oilers are better in almost every statistical category. This should be an easy win, hopefully just like the win against Anaheim on Sunday.
