The Edmonton Oilers look to take their home winning streak out on the road as they take on the Anaheim Ducks down in California. The Edmonton Oilers are coming off two games where they won in extra time.
On Friday they beat the Blues in overtime on a Connor McDavid goal on a nice pass from Leon Draisaitl. Earlier in the week they beat the Los Angeles Kings in a shootout.
In both these games the Edmonton Oilers had a lead and let the other team back in and gave away an extra point. The extra point given away to a western conference team at this point in the season is not ideal. The point meant even more against LA as they are battling against them for 2nd place in the Pacific.

The more important thing at this point is coming out with points. If the Edmonton Oilers continue get points they should pass the Kings in no time. This is good news because the Oilers getting home ice in the playoffs is a must the way the Oilers are playing right now.
The Ducks are below the Oilers in the standing so this game is a must win for the Edmonton Oilers. In order to keep pace with the Kings and to keep their gap on Vegas in place a 2 points is a must.
I do expect the Oilers to win tonight. Ever since the blowout loss to the Calgary Flames, the Oilers have played solid. The only thing they need to work on is not giving up leads. So hopefully this gets resolved tonight.
