After getting their first win in over a month, the Edmonton Oilers look to start a winning streak tonight against the Vancouver Canucks. The Canucks on the other hand are trying to end a two game losing streak. So far this season the Edmonton Oilers have had the Vancouver Canucks‘ number as they have beaten them in the previous two meetings.

The first game was each team’s first game of the season, and the Oilers won in a shootout, 3-2. The second game happened 2 weeks later and the Oilers took that game 2-1. These games were not blow out by any means. So this game will likely be a tight affair just like the last two.

Edmonton Oilers Lines

It looks like Zack Zassian and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins will be back in the lineup tonight. This is the first time this season that the Edmonton Oilers are running RNH at third line center to start the game. Every game so far this season he has been on the wing with either McDavid or Draisaitl. This should give them a better chance to not only score more goals on the line but also they will be defending better as well.

Vancouver Canucks Lines

These were they lines the Vancouver Canucks went with on Sunday in their loss to the St. Louis Blues. I do expect some changes to this lineup though. The Canucks have 6 players in COVID protocol, so depending on how some tests come back this lineup could look completely different at puck drop.
