The Edmonton Oilers are going to be the night cap on Hockey Night In Canada tonight as they take on the Calgary Flames. The Edmonton Oilers are coming off a 6-0 loss on Thursday to the Florida Panthers. Whereas the Calgary Flames are coming off a 5-1 win against the Panthers Tuesday.
These are exact opposite outcomes in a game against the same team. This does not look good for the Edmonton Oilers who really need to get back to winning so hockey games before the playoffs slip out of their grasp.
The last two games the Oilers played they were still in the game till the 3rd period. Unfortunately in both games they completely fell apart, letting in a total of 9 goals in that period alone. Hopefully the emotion that a battle of Alberta can bring is just what the Oilers need to become engaged in a whole 60 minute game.
