The Edmonton Oilers take on the New York Rangers tonight in New York. The Oilers won the last matchup between the two team’s but that can’t be read as a precursor for what is to come as the two teams are in different positions from when they last met.

The New York Rangers lost to the Edmonton Oilers 6-5 on November 5th. The game took overtime and was an electric matchup between two high offensive teams. Tonight though the Rangers are at home with all the confidence in the world while the Oilers have to be frustrated.

Edmonton comes to New York having lost their last three games. They are falling behind in the standings and are making even making the playoffs less and less of a guarantee.
