After losing back to back games for the first time this season the Edmonton Oilers look to stop the bleeding. Every team loses games and every team loses consecutive games. The key to having a successful season is to keep the losing streaks short. So far the Oilers have been good at not losing large groups of games.

The Minnesota Wild are in town tonight to try and keep their winning streak alive. The Wild are currently on a 6 game winning streak. In those 6 games the Wild have outscored their opponents 27-12.  They are scoring an average of 4.5 goals per game while only giving up an average of 2.

This could cause the Edmonton Oilers some problems. The Oilers defense is still pretty beat-up, even with Darnell Nurse drawing back in the lineup last game. The Oilers have been losing the battle in the shot department in the last couple games. This has lead them to lose consecutive games.

If the Oilers can come out of the gate and play a good game from start to finish this should be a good game. The Wild are top of Central Division and the Oilers are second in the Pacific. This game could have a playoff feel to it as both teams will want to prove they belong where they are in the standing.
