The Edmonton Oilers are undefeated, and there are a lot of reasons to be optimistic right now, but still there is another big game tonight.

The Edmonton Oilers have been rolling through the first few games of the season. The first few matchups have all been against division rivals with Vancouver, Calgary, and Anaheim all being divisional opponents and wins. Then last night the Oilers beat the Arizona Coyotes 5-1 and got some momentum before heading to Vegas for tonight’s game against the Golden Knights.

The Golden Knights have played just three games this season with a win during their home opener against the Seattle Kraken, and two losses to Los Angeles and St. Louis. Vegas will want to avoid a losing streak with a win tonight at home.

The Oilers are definitely the favorite going into tonight’s game, even though the betting odds say otherwise. Despite the loss of Mike Smith to injury reserve, this team is relatively healthy, more so than Vegas, and is on fire with goals from a lot of different players.

Last game saw Warren Foegele and Zack Kassian score, the Oilers (knock on wood) seem to be rolling multiple lines successfully, oh and McDavid is on pace for over 200 points this year. Obviously things will return to normal with a bit of a drop off, but tonight a win is needed to continue the good vibes through the weekend as the Oilers will be off till Wednesday after tonight.

TV: Sportsnet 360, Sportsnet One

Radio: 630 CHED

Opponent: Vegas Golden Knights

Opponent Highlight:

"The Knights have had to overcome injury after injury after injury. However, the Knights still have a very good team with lots of depth and options to fill those spots. If you take a look at the Oilers, they have to eventually cool off how they are playing is not sustainable. With it being a divisional game, both teams will come out motivated and the Knights have a lot more to lose than the Oilers. That gives them the edge tonight.-Evan Mead of Vegas Hockey Knight"

Betting Odds:

The Oilers and Golden Knights betting odds on WynnBET have the Golden Knights as -1.5 point favorites at home. The Oilers have +115 Moneyline odds, while the Golden Knights are the favorite at -125. The total for the game is set at an over/under of 6.0 points.
