Oilers News: McDavid and Draisaitl’s NHL 22 Player Rating Is Out
The Edmonton Oilers have a couple of the best players in the entire NHL in Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl.
With EA Sports NHL 22 coming out later in the month of October, now is the time to see what the Edmonton Oilers are going to offer in this new game. I think fans are going to like the rating for the team’s two top stars.
Connor McDavid had the most points in the entire NHL last season, stocking up 105 points in 56 games. As McDavid has become a better leader with experience, he has also become a better player on the ice as each year he has constantly raised the bar.
EA announced the top 50 NHL players in the game, and you will never guess who number one on the list is. Okay maybe you can guess but I will just say it anyway, it’s Connor McDavid. McDavid is the highest-rated player in NHL 22 with a rating of 95 overall, and the drop-off from one to two is pretty remarkable as next up is Nathan MacKinnon, Sidney Crosby, and Leon Draisaitl with a 93 overall rating.
If one was looking to play NHL 22 and they were going to rebuild their team the best player to have around would be McDavid. He is the best player in the world right now both in the video game and on the actual ice.
It is going to be a fun year for the Oilers captain as he not only goes to the Olympics but looks to get his team over the playoff hump. It all starts for him on October 13th when the season officially begins against the Canucks.
Draisaitl being 93 overall alongside Crosby and MacKinnon seems like the right move, although I would say he is the definitive second-best player in the league, I do understand rating him alongside those two stars.
No other team had two players in the top five on their team, it is worth noting Tampa had two players in the top ten in Kucherov and Hedman, but Edmonton definitely has the most star power in the game to no one’s surprise.
The Oilers’ top defenceman Darnell Nurse also is on the top 50 list, he has a rating of 87 overall this year and one would imagine it will only get higher as the years go on and he plays in bigger and bigger moments.
