2. Duncan Keith

Duncan Keith is coming to Edmonton having been the guy in Chicago for the better part of a decade now.  He is a champion and this will be the first time he is not playing top-line minute in his career and now the team is just asking him to be their number two guy behind Nurse.

Keith is here to be a leader in the locker room, and provide depth on the defensive side. Being in Chicago the past couple of years, he has not played competitive hockey that has mattered in a while, so how he handles this situation in Edmonton will be interesting to see.

Obviously, everyone in Edmonton wants to see Keith succeed. The team is paying him a lot of money, and they gave up a bit much for an older defenseman, but if this trade works out and Keith does well then the team will be better off because of it.

Keith is someone that should have a bump offensively now on a better team, as well as someone that should see all-around better numbers now that he is on a roster that usually outscores their opponents dramatically throughout the regular season.
