Rumor #2:  Taylor Hall is open to returning and at a discount once his contract ends after this upcoming season

I would love it if we could get Taylor Hall back, but honestly, it would take most of the free cap space the Oilers have unless they could get rid of Milan Lucic in a trade before or in the same deal.  I would imagine he’s open to coming back, though, as he probably didn’t like the way things ended here for him and would like a 2nd chance.

After all, when you consider Andrew Ference‘s comments about the Decade of Darkness Oilers here.

I’ve also seen Reddit threads about fans witnessing various douchebaggery from Hall in local Edmonton nightclubs – can’t seem to find a link to the thread anymore, but I’ve read it before.

No wonder Chiarelli looked at him and thought “deja vu” from his time in Boston – you remember who I’m talking about.

But my theory is the trade to Jersey kicked Hall in the butt, removed that ego, and now he’s a different player.  I can see why he’d want to come back to prove us all wrong.
