Todd McLellan is Lois Griffin
He is someone who loves and cares about his team, just as Lois cares for her children (for some of the series, at least; you’d be surprised what character development and 14 seasons does to Lois).
He is often the voice of reason and has to deal with a lot, including the difficult adversity and the team’s losing record. It’s just like how Lois struggles with the day-to-day mayhem and dysfunction created by her family members.
He is ultimately the leader and is the one to lead problem resolution, just as Lois looks to calm her fellow family members down and is the one who usually ends the arguments or tries to look to solve different problems throughout the family. Through rationality and care, Lois and McLellan have more in common than what would be originally suspected.
