Last week we encouraged you to vote to help propel Oilers forward Taylor Hall into the sweet sixteen of the EA Sports NHL ’14 cover voting contest that will see one NHLer showcased as the new poster boy for the video game. Well you did it. Hall is in the top sixteen and now faces off against Matt Duchene of the Colorado Avalanche in the first round of the bracket competition.

<img class="alignright size-medium wp-image-6652" title="NHL: Edmonton Oilers at Colorado Avalanche April 19 2013; Denver, CO, USA; Edmonton Oilers left wing Taylor Hall (4) controls the puck during the third period of the game against the Colorado Avalanche at the Pepsi Center.
Hall is slotted as the number three seed on his side of the bracket, proving that he was one of the more popular choices in the original pool of 32 players that were selected. John Tavares of the New York Islanders and Evgeni Malkin of the Pittsburgh Penguins finished ahead of Hall, but we won’t have to worry about either player for at least another round or two, providing we can get Hall past Duchene.

So make sure you cast your vote as many times as you feel necessary. Voting is unlimited and you can also earn up to ten sweepstakes entries per day that will see one lucky voter attend one game of the 2013 Stanley Cup final.

The Edmonton Oilers have one of the best young rising stars in the game in Taylor Hall and now you can help make him the cover boy for the video game EA Sports NHL ’14.

Hall was one of thirty-two NHL players selected to a series of fan voting that will eventually crown a champion that will be featured on the wildly popular hockey video game. As it stands, the voting is open until May 5th which at that point in time the field will be cut down to to the top sixteen, who will then face off in a head-to-head, bracket style contest.

The contest is being dubbed “Flo Bro” by the Oilers in honor of Hall’s former locks to go with the slogan “He can flow with the best of them.”

Every team has one representative as their designated poster boy that fans can vote on, along with a wild card in each conference. Joe Thornton of the Sharks and James Van Riemsdyk of the Maple Leafs.

You can vote here as many times as you like so let’s push #4 into the sweet sixteen and get him on his way to becoming the new poster boy for EA Sports NHL ’14.

Vote for Hall!
