The Edmonton Oilers kick off a three game road trip tonight in the music city as they get set to take on the Nashville Predators. After seeing their three game winning streak snapped to the Chicago Blackhawks, the Oilers will look to get back to their winning ways tonight in hopes of starting another streak.

This is a Predators team that high hopes for this season after a busy free-agent period that saw them sing numerous additions for the hockey club.  Currently sitting in tenth place in the west, the Preds are 5-5 over their last ten and have won two in a row including last night’s 4-0 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Nashville continues to play solid hockey without their number one netminder Pekka Rinne who remains sidelined with an infection in his hip.

For the Oilers, Ilya Bryzgalov will make his first official start tonight for his new club and as we looked at earlier today, he could be just what this hockey club needs.

On to the lineups and notes.
