Martin Hanzal suspended 2 games for charging Petry

Earlier today, the National Hockey League’s Department of Player Safety announced that Phoenix Coyote forward Martin Hanzal had been suspended for 2 games for his hit on Edmonton Oiler defensemen Jeff Petry at the 13:42 mark in the first period between the Phoenix Coyotes and Edmonton Oilers on Saturday, October 26, 2013 in Arizona.

Martin Hanzal is considered a repeat offender and will forfeit $75,609.76 US based on his average salary with all funds going towards the Players Emergency Assistance Fund.
