Oilers vs. Jets - Monday's Lineup

The Oilers return to game action tonight when the Winnipeg Jets come to Edmonton to occupy the visitor’s dressing room in Rexall Place.  The two clubs met last week in Winnipeg that saw the Jets barely hang on to a 3-2 win, after skating out to an early 3-0 lead.

This game also marks the first since the Sam Gagner injury that now has the Oilers reeling at the centre position.  Much has been made about who can fill the void with Jordan Eberle‘s name being mentioned as a possibility to be used as a tryout, much like the Taylor Hall experiment.

Tonight’s lineup, courtesy of the Oilers official website features the three players that could internally fill the void left by Gagner and his broken jaw.  Mark Arcobello, Anton Lander and Will Acton are all in tonight’s lineup in what is otherwise a young and inexperienced group of forwards.  Note, the line combinations are projections based on Sunday’s practice, as noted by the Oilers website.  The defense pairings were not set at the time of this article being written.
