Sam Gagner

Sam Gagner is the logical choice to move up to the first line until Nugent-Hopkins returns.  He can play with Hall and Eberle in every aspect of the game while bringing some stability to the faceoff circle.

Herein lies the problem of not having any depth at centre.  Now the second line is without a legitimate centreman that can contribute both offensively and win his fair share of draws, something that has become more important for the Oilers over the last few years.

So while Gagner could move up one line, it is perhaps the second line centre that the Oilers need to be looking for.  There are a few options.
