It’s Friday and while the weekend is oh so close, it also means it’s time for another installment of Tweets of the Week from Oil Country. Every Friday we take the most entertaining and amusing tweets from the Oilers players and their personnel and post them here for our readers to enjoy. Consider it a nice break from the daily grind that you find yourself stuck in before the weekend is officially upon us. With out further ado, enjoy this week’s rendition.
To start us off, we have Sam Gagner. Just because there are only two teams in the Stanley Cup final, doesn’t mean the other players don’t watch and have a vested interest in the outcome. As much as the game itself interests the players who aren’t vying for a piece of history by getting their name on Lord Stanley, they still have that passion. Gagner reaffirms that with his tweet.

Last Sunday was Father’s Day, a special day for every hockey player to reflect on the impact their dad has had on their lives and careers. Taylor Hall included a touching picture of four Oilers who were either celebrating as a father, or thanking their dad. Smtyh looks busy doesn’t he?

Basketball is a joke. Refs are so inconsistent, players constantly flopping, and no one can hold a lead. Just brutal

Terrible NBA finals. Every game is a blowout. Not even close to the NHL finals as far as entertainment.
