VIDEO: Steve Ott Licks Jeff Halpern's Visor, And A Look At The East

An exciting night for hockey with playoff chases everywhere.  Islanders looking to get in for the first time since 2007, the Canadiens have a chance to clinch a playoff berth, and the Bruins can do the same with a victory.

Oh, and Steve Ott licked Jeff Halpern‘s visor.  Just another day at the First Niagara Center.

I got nothing.

We always spend so much time in the West.  What’s going on out East?

Eastern Conference tightening up a bit.  Boston fails to clinch with their loss, but it shouldn’t be long before they’re in.  Islanders get two big points, Senators put the finishing touches on Philadelphia, and the Canadiens are in with their victory over Steve Ott and the Buffalo Sabres.  Winnipeg hung seven goals on Florida.  The Jets are just two points behind the Capitals, who lead the Southeast Division.  The Caps defeated Carolina 3-1, dealing the Hurricanes their seventh consecutive defeat.

Both the Leafs and Islanders have legit shots at getting into the playoffs, while we get to wave at that horse and carriage once again.  Oh well, there’s always the draft.
