Bleedin’ Blue is Fansided’s house of the Blues.

  • Fourth and final game of the homestand tonight against St. Louis.  Oilers dropped a 4-3 decision against San Jose on Wednesday, but have points in each of their last five.  Need a win to get within two points of eighth.  St. Louis is coming off a 3-2 defeat at the hands of the Canucks in a game that saw the Blues dominate the shot clock 34-19.  Oilers have defeated St. Louis just twice in the last twelve attempts.
  • Ryan Nugent-Hopkins has been placed on IR retroactive to Wednesday, when he was kept out with the flu.  Then, this comes along…

I believe this falls under the category of ‘speculation’, but keep your eyes open on what happens next with Snoop Nugey Nuge.

  • LINE CHANGE  Nuge is out again, Belanger is back after  being out a couple of weeks with a groin injury, Eberle and Yakupov trade spaces.  Throw the dice.
  • Oilers are going with Nikolai Khabibulin (2-2-1, 2.12, .935) tonight.  This will be Khabibulin’s first appearance in net since he was injured making a save on February 25th against the Blackhawks.  Jaroslav Halak (5-3-1, 2.38 / .884) is expected to start for St. Louis

Oilers can really help themselves out with two points tonight.

Minnesota plays San Jose

Dallas plays Colorado.
