Blackout Dallas is the Dallas Stars’ page on the Fansided Network

  • The second of a nine game roadie finds Edmonton in Dallas to take on the Stars.  The Oilers were able to scratch a point out of the Blackhawks game on Monday, while the Stars took two points in Columbus on Tuesday.  Edmonton is 3-4-3 in their last ten, while the Stars are 6-3-1.  Can’t stress how important points are on this road trip.
  • LINE CHANGE - Ryan Jones gets top six minutes tonight on with Sam Gagner and Ales Hemsky.  Theo Peckham and Ryan Whitney are scratches.
  • HALL IS BACK and not a moment too soon.  Taylor Hall will be back in tonight’s lineup after serving a two game suspension for a kneeing incident on Minnesota’s Cal Clutterbuck.  In 16 games, Hall has 16 points (3-13-16).  Here are the keys, please drive us to victory.
  • Erik Cole will play his first game as a Dallas Star tonight.  Cole was sent from Montreal to Dallas in exchange for Michael Ryder.  Cole spent part of the 2008-09 season as a member of the Edmonton Oilers.
  • Devan Dubnyk will get his first start in a week.  In that start, he’ll also look for his first career win in Dallas.  The Stars have activated Kari Lehtonen off of IR (groin) and he’ll face Edmonton in his first game back.  Lehtonen is 9-2 against Edmonton in his career.

Take it away, Bob Cole
