Wouldn’t be shocked if Khabibulin started today.

Octopus Thrower is the Detroit Red Wings page on the Fansided Network
- So the Oilers are coy up until a half hour before game time. All that line-splitting was not to be had today. Some changes though, as Eager is back. Vande Velde in for Belanger. No Fistric today either.
- If Jack Michaels is on about Khabibulin, then we’ll be in for a treat today. It would be Khabibulin’s first start of the season, and the first game action he’s seen in about ten months. May God have mercy upon us all.
- Detroit is being led by the scoring prowess of the Big Z, Henrik Zetterberg. Zetterberg has 14 points (5-9-14) in ten games.
- While the Oilers are looking like they’re going to start Khabibulin, the Wings look to Jimmy Howard. Howard is 4-4-1 with a 3.07 GAA and a .897 SV%. That’s not spectacular, and the Oilers will need to shoot the puck more than 25 times to secure a win today.
