“I don’t believe Andy (Sutton) is going to play this season” Steve Tambellini
— Gene Principe (@GenePrincipe) January 14, 2013
That’s not good for Andy Sutton, or the Edmonton Oilers’ blue line.
If Steve Tambellini doesn’t think that Andy Sutton is going to play this year, you can pretty much rest assured that Andy Sutton’s year (and possibly career) is over. Sutton has been recovering from offseason knee surgery and was ruled out from the season opener some time ago.
TAYLOR FEDUN CALLED UP
Taylor Fedun has been called up, while Colten Teubert has been sent down to OKC. 630 CHED’s Dan Tencer says that Fedun will only be up for training camp, so unless things get really wacky, it ought to be a temporary stay.
THEO PECKHAM INJURED
Hours before the Oilers announced the trade for Mark Fistric, Theo Peckham wasn’t seen on ice at training camp. Later, we hear that his hip is injured, and TSN’s Ryan Rishaug says that Peckham wasn’t able to undergo his physical on Sunday, and that Peckham’s current level of conditioning is unknown.
