Let there be hockey.

With no other strings attached, let there be a 48 game season that begins next week.

The NHLPA ratified the new NHL Collective Bargaining Agreement this morning, and both sides have figured out the MOU.   See, I didn’t even know about the MOU before today, but it’s kept anything from happening until it was ratified.  If you’d like to know more about the MOU, please feel free to find out.  It’s late on Saturday and I’m not going to bore you to tears more than I usually do.

Player transactions can begin at 12:01 Sunday morning (eastern time),  and the Oilers can now go out and get those two defenceman I’ve been nagging Tambellini about for the last two years.

With the NHLPA’s ratification, training camps are scheduled to open Sunday as well.

Expect to see some player movement on Sunday.
