Oilers Open At 25-1 Odds To Win Stanley Cup

Now that the lockout is finally a bad, unpleasant, malodorous bad dream of the past, we can start to talk about more important things.

Like gambling.

Online wagering site Bovada (the artists formerly known as Bodog) has some fresh Stanley Cup wagering lines for this year’s shortened season.

Edmonton clocks in at 25-1.  The Penguins are favourites at 8-1 (someone didn’t see the playoffs), followed by the Rangers at 17/2 and everyone’s favourites from BC at 9-1.

Other notables:  The LA Kings start at 12-1, the Wild at 18-1, the Maple Leafs begin at 30-1, and the Jets at 50-1.  Both Calgary and the Habs start at 50-1 as well.

The Islanders start at a money-making 66-1, while Columbus rounds out the league at 100-1.

One dollar on the Jackets.
