Oiler fans have been enthused with Oscar Klefbom’s play in the SEL this season. He’s been getting top-four minutes and is tied for the league lead in plus/minus. However, yesterday we learned that Klefbom had suffered a shoulder injury during a game versus Vaxjo.
Well, he’s gone for the season, right? Not so fast.
Today, reports on Klefbom’s injury are more positive. With the help of Google Translate, Farjestad’s website indicates that the club is optimistic he won’t be out for too long.
On Twitter, I asked Uffe Bodin, who covers the SEL, how serious Klefbom’s injury is. His reply is below.
@jonrmcleod Not very serious. Apparently, he’ll practice tomorrow. Will only miss one game, from what I hear.

Corey Pronman of Hockey Prospectus also tweets a similar report.
#Oilers Klefbom injury doesn’t seem serious. Could miss a game or two. Banged his shoulder up after a check from behind.
