Oil On Whyte’s Weekend Link Extravaganza

Dive right in.

ArtfulPuck – Training Camp, Day Five -  – A look at the midway point of Oklahoma City’s training camp.  Chock full of pertinent information and video.

Tend The Farm:  Barons Beat Houston 4-0 – AHL hockey is back, and Neal’s got the recap of this year’s first preseason game down in OKC.

Baron It All (Mike Baldwin) :  Fedun Glad To Be Back  – After a year of recovery, Taylor Fedun is mighty happy to be playing hockey again. Fedun was rewarded with an assist in last night’s 4-0 victory.

Oilers Nation (Jason Gregor) :  It Officialy Begins – The NHL cancelled the first two weeks of the regular season, allowing you all that time to do things you otherwise wouldn’t do if you were watching NHL hockey.  You know, like check the pressure on your bicycle tires, and learn intermediate vuvuzela technique.

Cult Of Hockey (Jonathan Willis) -Edmonton Oilers Prospect Nail Yakupov Scores Again, Steals Show In 5-2 Loss – Nail Yakupov should be skating around in colours copper and blue.  Instead, he’s skating around in colours white, blue and green of the KHL’s Neftekhimik.  A plus?  He’s putting the puck in the net.  Yakupov has 3 goals in 4 games so far.

FINALLY

The Barons host the Aeros once again tonight, and those in OKC can again get a ticket to the game by making a donation to help support OKC’s @InfantCrisis – a nonprofit providing formula, food, diapers and clothing to needy babies and toddlers.  Bring in a donation of $10, or some sippy cups, baby bottles, new or gently used toys, Good Start formula, diapers, Baby Bath, baby shampoo, baby lotion, pacifiers and coats in sizes from 2T – 6.  It’s for a great cause, and you get hockey.  It’s a win/win.
