OKC Barons To Open Training Camp September 30th

While we wait to hear the next chapter in NHL negotiations, the Oklahoma City Barons are scheduled to open their training camp on Sunday, September 30th beginning at 10 AM.  All scheduled practices will be held at the Cox Convention Center.

If I’m in Oklahoma City and I even have a passing interest in hockey, then I’m excited about this season.  The havoc of a lockout will reap benefits for your entertainment dollar.  You will likely see superstar talent in Jordan Eberle and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins as long as this NHL lockout persists.  If you have a chance to get down to the Cox Convention Center on any day from September 30th to October 9th (minus October 7th, a day off), drop what you’re doing and go take a peek.

Admission to training camp is free and completely open to the public.  To see the complete training camp schedule, click here.

Preseason games will take place on October 5th and 6th.

The Barons open the season on the 12th of October in Cleveland, taking on the Lake Erie Monsters. Oklahoma City’s first home game is on the 19th against the San Antonio Rampage.
