Oilers come into this game fresh off a victory over the Avalanche.  It wasn’t an easy victory, but any victory where half the team isn’t carried off on stretchers or limp off in walking boots is now ‘fresh’.  The Blackhawks will likely be looking for revenge tonight as they are 1-2 against the Oilers so far this year (the Oilers have outscored the Hawks 13-5 over the past two games).  Edmonton is 3-5-2 in their last ten, Chicago is 5-3-2.

  • SEE THE LINES:  Devan Dubnyk will get his fourth consecutive start tonight.  In the past three, Dubnyk is 2-1 and has turned aside 98 out of his last 103 shots.  Not awful shabby.  Philippe Cornet gets his second game on the second line.  Cornet had just under 11 minutes, he had the secondary assist on Jordan Eberle’s goal.  Triple-H line still intact, everything looks about the same as Tuesday.
  • Looked to be 50/50 as to whether or not RNH was going to be a go for tonight’s game.  He’ll be kept out until Saturday, as our very own Oil On Whyte exclusive correspondent Grant has unearthed.  Look for defenceman Cam Barker to be back any day now, too.
  • Marian Hossa currently leads the Hawks in scoring with 53 points (20-33-53) in 50 games.  Usual suspects Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane round out the top three.

 Oilers shock Hawks tonight.  Maybe.
