Centre Sam Gagner did something unthinkable in Edmonton’s 8-4 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks on Thursday, 02 February 2012.
Sam Gagner scored eight points in an NHL game. Four goals, four assists. The only other cats to do that for the Oilers are Wayne Gretzky (twice) and Paul Coffey (once). He was a part of every one of the Oiler goals in this game. That’s incredible.
There will be a game recap, but this is pretty monumental. For his efforts, he garnered the first, second, and third stars of the game.
Congrats to the Oilers on a big win, and congrats to Sam Gagner. We’re not going to forget this one for a while.
